UC Browser is currently available on thousands of handsets and has 6 versions, including Symbian, Java, Windows Mobile, Smart phone and iPhone. We will establish Android and BlackBerry in the near future.

How to get the latest UC Browser?

To download UC Browser to your phone, visit http://wap.ucweb.com using your existing mobile web browser, and choose the language and version.

What's the difference between signed version and unsigned version?

UC Browser can be installed as both signed and unsigned versions. The advantage of the signed version is that you can have better control of the browser. E.g. each time you connect the unsigned version, it will show the permission dialogs for network access. But for signed version, you can select "Always Allow" to avoid the permission dialogs.

How to find suitable UC Browser?

If you know the phone model, you can visit http://wap.ucweb.com and select from the list. Then it will show you the relevant download page.
PS: Recommend to download the signed version.

If you only know the platform of your phone system, you can choose the application "By platform" to download the general version.
PS: For Java version, our website provides signed and unsigned versions. If you use Nokia or Sony Ericsson, we recommend you to download the signed version.

I can't find my phone model in the download page.

You can click "More" tag to get the list of supported models when you can't find your phone model on the homepage.
If you still not find the phone model, install the general version. For the better service, please contact us and we will update the phone model as soon as possible.: )

"JAR file"

J2ME applications base on Java technology with the extension .jar and .jad.
The standard way to install java software is to use the jad file to get the jar file installed. Only a fraction of handsets may appear exception. You can try to download the jar file and complete the installation.

"File size too large"

Some handsets, mostly old phone models, make a size limitation on java files. When the file exceeds the limitation, it will show the message "File size too large".
There's a low-memory version of UC Browser. To download 128K low-memory version on UC website, select By platform>Java.

"Not supported format"

This message mostly shows on Samsung mobiles. They make a size limitation on java files. When the file exceeds the limitation, it will show the message. You can try the 128K low-memory version.

"Expired certificate"

1. Usually, a certificate is only valid in one year. If your phone gives a warning "Expired certificate", you can download a new version on UC website to retrieve a certificate.
2. System time can also cause the problem. If you change the date to 2009 or 2012 (actually it should be 2010), it may give you the same warning.

"Corrupted file"

If download exceptions appear, like unstable connection cause uncompleted installation package, you may need to download the file again. If it can't solve the problem, you may have to erase the cache files.
If you install the modified version, it may prompt you the same error message. Considering from self interest, we advise you to download the application from UC website.

This error message may display when installing Java or Symbian application.

Java:
1. If the certificate in .jad file is not suit for the phone, you can try to install the .jar file directly. If your handset only accepts .jad file, you can search a 'Jad Generator' to generate a .jad file and install it.
2. Some applications or phone formatting or updating can also cause this problem. The best way to solve it is to restore the handset.
PS: If you know the real installation folder, you can copy the jar file to this folder and begin to install.:)

Symbian:
The error occurs because the certificate is not suit for your handset. If you are sure your install package is the latest version, please contact us, and then we can help you to solve the problem.:)
